Ok so I was going to post a green smoothie as my first recipe but I thought instead I’d go for one of my favourite protein shakes, it just so happens to be green!
This is a great post workout treat, or perhaps a nutritious meal-on-the-go for those busy peeps who find it hard to include enough greens in their daily routine.
It’s important to use your protein shake as an additional source of nutrition, rather than an artificially sweetened treat. Leafy greens vegetables are a good source of vitamins and minerals such as magnesium, calcium, potassium, manganese, folate and betaine. Among other things, coconut oil is good for your immune and digestive systems, and coconut water is a good source of electrolytes.
